About JichangDaren

The Chinese name "机场达人" (jichang-daren) literally reads as "the person who helps you arrive" — 达 means "to arrive," 人 just means "person." Call that person DaRen: a long-time user who's tried plenty of these services personally, and gotten burned by a few — not a lab with speed-testing rigs cranking out reports, and not a self-appointed judge handing down an "authoritative" verdict on every provider. Closer to a food blogger sharing places they've actually eaten at and paid for themselves — not a Michelin inspector issuing scores from on high.

What "trying it" actually means

Worth being specific about: we don't run speed-testing software and dress up a handful of samples as "objective testing." What we can verify — official pricing, plan tiers, line type — we do verify; what we can't (some providers just don't publish their protocol) gets an honest "Not Verified" label instead of a guess. Prices and lines get rechecked quarterly, not monitored 24/7 — the "last verified" date at the top of each review is when we last confirmed it.

How the rating is calculated

Four weighted factors: price and per-GB cost; line type and stability (dedicated line vs. transit, whether the provider commits to no throttling); feature completeness (protocol support, device limits, payment methods, streaming/AI unlock coverage); and information transparency (whether the provider's own site actually discloses details like protocol — if it doesn't, we say so in the review rather than filling the gap for them). Scores differ for real reasons, not everyone lands near the top — a gap in transparency shows up in the number instead of being offset by strengths elsewhere.

One honest caveat: the rating reflects our judgment on the relatively fixed factors above — price, line type, features, transparency — not a guarantee of your personal experience. You could connect to the same service for three straight hours with zero issues, then someone else logs in right after you disconnect and hits timeouts and throttling, and walks away hating that provider forever. Real-world performance on a given node at a given moment swings with network conditions in ways a rating can't capture. Support response works the same way — you might get a fast reply, and the next person's message sits in queue for two hours for no reason other than bad timing. The rating is a relative judgment, not a promise that you'll be satisfied — your actual experience is still yours to have.
